Sammy Montemer, Principal and Partner
Sammy is Chief Operating Officer of Wealth Advisory Group. Joining the firm and the M Financial family in mid-2013, he is the newest addition to the WAG team. Prior to joining M Financial Sammy worked in the corporate space with Van Tuyl Entprises based out of Kansas City, KS (Van Tuyl Enterprises was purchased by Berkshire Hathaway in 2016 for an estimated $2.3B). Starting at the bottom of the barrel at the call center Sammy was able to climb his way up the corporate ladder to operations manager in just two short years. Being one of the fastest to climb the ladder in company history he was forced with a choice to continue down the corporate route, or go to work for himself in the financial world in California. As you can assume, Sammy chose to move back to California and begin to work in the financial services space with Wealth Advisory Group.
Sammy attended Westmont College receiving his BS in Kinesiology. During his four years there he played for the Westmont Warrior soccer team. During his time there they competed across the country and overseas in both Germany and Sweden. During his fourth and final year, the soccer team went through a trying event that drove them all the way to the quarterfinals of Nationals with the school rallying behind them where the Cinderella story ended finishing up at #6 in the country. After graduating from Westmont, Sammy attended California Baptist University in Riverside, California where he received his Masters of Science in Kinesiology. During his time there he worked as an assistant coach and goal keeper trainer for the Men’s soccer program.
Sammy currently sits on the board of The Dream Box and is in communication with a few other boards as well. He is also currently receiving his CFP from Pepperdine University as well as building the investment side of Wealth Advisory Group.
